Most of the calls we get about heat pump installation start with one of these. Here's what's going on, and what we do about it.
One cold-climate heat pump replaces both. You get heating and cooling from a single outdoor unit, one warranty, one piece of equipment to maintain.
A modern inverter heat pump delivers two to three units of heat for every unit of electricity, even in cold weather. Homes heated with electric baseboards, propane or oil usually see the biggest savings.
We check your heating fuel, home type and equipment against the program rules, complete pre-approval before install day, and submit the documents. Read our Ontario heat pump rebate guide.
Older models struggled. Today's cold-climate units like the Midea EVOX G3 and Kepler are rated to -30°C and keep strong capacity at -15°C. For the coldest nights we can pair the heat pump with your gas furnace as a hybrid system.
We run a heat-loss calculation and check your ductwork before we pick a size. A variable-speed heat pump runs longer at low speed, which evens out temperatures room to room.
A ductless mini-split or multi-zone system gives you heating and cooling without tearing open walls.
A heat pump paired with an electric air handler gives you central heating and cooling with no fossil fuel at all, and it qualifies for the higher rebate tier.
Describe the problem and we'll tell you what it usually is, what it costs to fix, and whether it's worth fixing.
We're an authorized dealer for Midea, Kepler and Lennox, so you get factory-backed equipment and factory-backed warranties.

Heat pump installation in Ontario starts at about $5,500 installed with EHI, and most central cold-climate systems land between $8,000 and $16,000 before rebates depending on size and electrical work. The Home Renovation Savings Program can return up to $7,500, and we quote a guaranteed final price before any work begins.
Yes. Cold-climate models such as the Midea EVOX G3 and Kepler are rated to operate at -30°C and hold most of their heating capacity at -15°C. For homes in Northern Ontario or anyone who wants extra backup, we pair the heat pump with a gas furnace or electric air handler with auxiliary heat.
Yes, you can replace a furnace with a heat pump, either fully (heat pump plus electric air handler) or as a hybrid where the heat pump runs most of the time and the furnace covers the coldest nights. We'll show you the running cost of each option for your home and heating fuel.
Most heat pump installations are finished in one day. Multi-zone ductless systems, hybrid conversions and jobs that need a panel upgrade can take one and a half to two days.
Size depends on a heat-loss calculation, not just square footage. As a rough guide, a 2 to 3 ton heat pump suits many Ontario homes up to about 2,000 square feet, and larger two-storey homes often need 4 to 5 ton. Oversizing causes short cycling and poor dehumidification, so we measure before we recommend.
No. Under the Home Renovation Savings Program a heat pump is a single-upgrade rebate, so no home energy assessment is required. You do need pre-approval before installation and equipment on NRCan's qualified products list, and we handle both.
Keep the outdoor unit clear of snow and leaves, change or clean filters every one to three months, and book an annual tune-up. Our heat pump maintenance visit checks refrigerant charge, coils, defrost cycle and electrical connections.
Home or business, tell us what's going on with your heating, cooling or hot water. We'll size it right, price it once, and show you every rebate you qualify for.
