Plenty of HVAC contractors will install whatever the supplier has on the shelf that week. We carry five brands on purpose, and each one had to clear the same tests before we put our name beside it.
Parts you can get in Ontario. A heat pump is only as good as the part you need on a Sunday in January. We chose lines where we have dealer access to parts and technical support, so a repair is a day, not a month.
Real cold-climate ratings. Midea EVOX G3 and Kepler are rated to heat at -30°C. That matters in Barrie, Sudbury and North Bay, and honestly it matters in Markham too during a cold snap.
On the NRCan qualified products list. The Home Renovation Savings Program only pays out on heat pumps that make the list. We check the exact model and size before we quote, so your up to $7,500 rebate is real and not a hope. Confirm eligibility before installation, and remember program terms can change.

Are Midea, Kepler and Lennox heat pumps eligible for the Ontario heat pump rebate?
A heat pump is eligible for the Home Renovation Savings Program rebate when the specific model and size appear on NRCan's qualified products list, and many Midea, Kepler and Lennox cold-climate models do. We confirm eligibility for your exact model before installation and submit pre-approval first, because the program will not pay for equipment installed before approval. What's the difference between an authorized dealer and any contractor who can buy the equipment?
An authorized dealer is trained by the manufacturer, registers your warranty correctly, has direct access to parts and technical support, and can offer extended coverage that an unauthorized installer cannot. Equipment installed by a non-authorized contractor may carry a shorter warranty or none at all, so ask any installer which brands they are authorized for.
