Lennox is a long-established North American HVAC manufacturer, and its heat pump line runs from dependable single-stage units to variable-capacity models and cold-climate options built for lower temperatures. Here's how we use them in Ontario.
Dual fuel with a Lennox furnace. This is the combination most Lennox buyers end up with. The heat pump heats efficiently through fall, spring and most of winter, and the two-stage Lennox furnace takes over on the coldest nights. We set the changeover point so you're always on the cheaper fuel. See hybrid furnace systems.
Cold-climate options. Lennox offers cold-climate heat pump models designed to hold heating capacity in low temperatures. Which model fits depends on your heat-loss calculation and whether you have a furnace as backup, so we quote the specific unit rather than making a blanket claim.
Lennox mini-split. For an addition, a bonus room or a home with no ducts, a Lennox ductless mini-split delivers heating and cooling from a slim wall head. Compare it with our Midea ductless line.
One brand, one call. When heat pump, coil, furnace and thermostat all carry the Lennox name, warranty and service stay simple.

Lennox model availability changes by season, so we quote current models. These are the three system layouts we build with Lennox equipment.
| System | What it includes | Best for | Installed from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lennox heat pump + Lennox furnace (dual fuel) | Heat pump outdoor unit, matched coil on an ML296V or EL297V furnace, dual-fuel thermostat | Gas-heated homes wanting the lowest running cost and furnace backup | $5,500 plus |
| Lennox heat pump + air handler | Heat pump outdoor unit with a matched air handler and electric backup heat | Homes with no gas line, or going all-electric | Quote |
| Lennox mini-split | Ductless outdoor unit with one or more wall-mounted indoor heads | Additions, bonus rooms, cottages and homes without ducts | $5,500 |
Installed pricing depends on size and installation requirements such as ductwork, coil replacement and electrical work. Every quote is guaranteed. Prices are before any rebate.

Lennox cold-climate options are designed for low temperatures, and in a dual-fuel system the furnace is always there as backup. For all-electric homes we size with a heat-loss calculation and add electric auxiliary heat.

Lennox offers cold-climate heat pump options designed to hold heating capacity at low temperatures, alongside standard models best suited to dual-fuel systems with a furnace backup. We match the model to your heat-loss calculation and backup heat, and we'll tell you plainly if a Midea EVOX G3 or Kepler unit is a better fit for your home.

Yes, in most cases a Lennox heat pump can be paired with an existing Lennox furnace as a dual-fuel system, provided the furnace blower can move the right airflow and a matched coil is installed. We check the blower, static pressure and controls before quoting.
Lennox heat pumps run quietly, and the variable-capacity models are the quietest because the compressor spends most of its time at low speed. We place the outdoor unit on a riser or pad away from bedroom windows and use anti-vibration mounts.
We register your Lennox warranty as part of the installation, and as an authorized Lennox dealer we have direct access to Lennox parts and technical support in Ontario. Extended coverage of up to 12 years parts and labour is available on select systems; details on our warranty page.
