Rinnai is a leading tankless water heater maker, and the RX series is their condensing line, which is the only kind worth buying in Ontario with today's gas prices.
Condensing efficiency. A condensing Rinnai tankless pulls extra heat out of the exhaust before it leaves the house. The RX160iN is rated 0.97 UEF and the RX199iN 0.98 UEF, which means almost every dollar of gas becomes hot water. A standard tank sits well below that, and it loses heat all night.
Sized for real households. The RX160iN modulates from 15,000 to 160,000 BTU per hour and delivers up to about 9 gallons per minute. The RX199iN goes up to 199,000 BTU per hour and about 11.1 GPM, enough for two showers and the dishwasher at once in most homes.
Recirculation capable. Add a recirculation set-up and the far bathroom gets hot water in seconds instead of running the tap for a minute.
Natural gas or propane. City homes on Enbridge and rural homes on propane both have a Rinnai option. Learn more on our tankless water heater page.

| Model | Efficiency | Input | Hot water flow | Installed from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rinnai RX160iN | Condensing, 0.97 UEF | 15,000 to 160,000 BTU/h | Up to about 9 GPM | $3,300 |
| Rinnai RX199iN | Condensing, 0.98 UEF | Up to 199,000 BTU/h | Up to about 11.1 GPM | Quote |
Both models run on natural gas or propane and are recirculation capable. Installed pricing depends on size and installation requirements such as gas line sizing, venting and condensate. Every quote is guaranteed.

Tankless installationTeenagers, two bathrooms and a laundry room. The RX199iN at about 11.1 GPM keeps up with simultaneous showers without the morning rationing.
A Rinnai hangs on the wall about the size of a carry-on suitcase, freeing the floor space a 50-gallon tank used to hog.
No gas line, no problem. Both Rinnai models have a propane option, and condensing efficiency matters even more when the fuel is pricier.

A Rinnai heats water on demand, so flow is the limit, not a tank. Sized right, the RX160iN or RX199iN keeps two showers going as long as you like.
Own a Rinnai from $3,300 installed. We handle the removal of the rental tank and you keep the monthly fee for yourself.
That tank is on borrowed time, and a leak in the furnace room is a bad day. Replace it before it fails with a condensing Rinnai that has no tank to rust out.
Both Rinnai models are recirculation capable. We can add a recirculation set-up so hot water is at the far bathroom in seconds.
A wall-hung Rinnai frees the floor. It's a common upgrade when we're also replacing a furnace or adding a heat pump air handler in the same room.
Describe the problem and we'll tell you what it usually is, what it costs to fix, and whether it's worth fixing.

Need Rinnai tankless water heater repair? Common calls include an error code on the display, water that goes hot and cold, lower flow than it used to have, a unit that won't ignite, or a condensate leak. Our TSSA-certified gas technicians diagnose it, give you a written quote before any work, and have dealer access to Rinnai parts.
Rinnai service once a year keeps the unit at its rated efficiency and protects the warranty. Rinnai tankless water heater maintenance with EHI includes a descaling flush through the isolation valves, inlet filter cleaning, combustion check, condensate drain and neutralizer check, and a venting inspection. Ontario's hard water makes the annual flush the single most valuable thing you can do for a tankless.

A Rinnai tankless water heater installed by EHI starts at $3,300 for the RX160iN, with the RX199iN, recirculation and gas line upgrades quoted individually. Installed pricing depends on size and installation requirements, and every quote is guaranteed before work starts.
Choose the RX160iN, at up to about 9 GPM, for most homes with one or two bathrooms, and the RX199iN, at up to about 11.1 GPM, for larger families and homes with three or more bathrooms that run showers at the same time. We size by fixture count and Ontario's cold incoming water temperature, which lowers winter flow on any tankless.
Yes. Both the Rinnai RX160iN and RX199iN are available for natural gas or propane, so rural Ontario homes without a gas line can have the same condensing efficiency as city homes on Enbridge.
A Rinnai tankless should be descaled once a year in most of Ontario because our water is hard, and more often on very hard well water. The isolation valves we install make the flush a quick service visit, and it keeps flow and efficiency where they should be.
No. A Rinnai tankless makes a soft fan and burner sound only while hot water is running, and nothing at all the rest of the time, so it's quieter than a tank with a burner cycling on through the night. We mount it on a solid wall with proper venting clearances.
We register your Rinnai warranty as part of the installation, and extended coverage may be available depending on the package you choose. As an authorized Rinnai dealer we also have direct access to Rinnai parts and support in Ontario; see our warranty page for conditions.
Yes. We repair and service Rinnai tankless water heaters of any age, including units installed by other contractors, with a written quote before any work. Same-day service for no hot water is available across most of our Ontario service area.
